Our History
At Engin’s Bar & Grill, our journey began in 2021, when we opened our doors with one sincere mission: to bring the true warmth, colour, and flavour of the Mediterranean to the heart of Sheffield. But our story stretches back much further.
Our founder, Chef Engin, has been perfecting his craft since 2010, working in some of London’s most loved and lively neighbourhoods. Surrounded by world-class kitchens, rich cultural influences, and the exciting energy of the city, he developed a passion for creating dishes that not only taste incredible but also tell a story. After over a decade cooking for communities across London, Engin felt inspired to bring that same Mediterranean spirit—sunshine, hospitality, and a touch of sparkle—to Sheffield.
And so, in 2021, Engin’s Turkish Grill was born.
From our very first day, we’ve been committed to offering more than just food. We’ve created a cosy, welcoming space where guests can relax, connect, and experience the kind of warm hospitality that makes Turkish culture so special. Every dish that leaves our kitchen is prepared with care, tradition, and Engin’s signature passion.
Since opening, we’ve been truly happy and proud to serve our community, sharing the flavours of Türkiye and the Mediterranean—one plate, one smile, and one memorable visit at a time.

Engin is an obsessive food cooker, hard-working, thoughtful, articulate, conscientious. He loves being a searcher for his new taste addiction. His quick learning skills and tasteful hands made him super popular. There is one secret – his experience come from harmful mixed cuisine learnings as he had a chance to see, work, taste and play with ! He knows how the meat meets with a source of herbs, spices and love in order to connect with individuals

His skills go far beyond technique—he cooks with intuition, tradition, and a deep love for Mediterranean flavours.
